Winslow Elementary School First Grade Class
Thomas Inman of Whitefish, Montana
submitted this photograph of Miss Ruth (Bottoms) McDaniels 1931 Winslow
Elementary first grade class. Miss Bottoms taught the class of 44 students
without the luxury of a teacher's aide. Inman was able to identify some of
the students. On the first row, from left, the fifth, sixth, and seventh
students are Jackie Gooch, Jean Green and Barbara Barnett. Harold McDonald
is the first student on the second row. On the third row the second,
fourth and seventh students are Jimmy Pipes, Marion Dillon and Lorraine
Reed. On the fourth row the second student is Melvin Dierdorff and the
fourth student is Thomas Inman.
