Former Eskimos from
49, 50 & 51 Recall Old Times
Former Eskimo basketball players, L to R: Russell Chesser, Class of 1949;
Sam Nelson, Class of 1950; and Dick Kinder, Class of 1951. The 1949
Eskimos went undefeated during regular season play and were defeated by the
Jasper Wildcats who went on to win the State Basketball Title in 1949. The
1950 Eskimos and the 1951 Eskimos won back to back Sectional and Regional Titles
losing in the Semi-State at Bloomington. This was back in the days
of true Indiana Basketball and not Class Basketball.
