| | Former Brown's Grocery
- Now Winslow Carhartt Outfitters Station
| Pictured above is the building which was
the old Brown's Grocery Store that stood on the northeast corner of Main
and Center street in Winslow, Indiana back in the 50's and
60's. It was ran by Neal Brown and had a complete line of
groceries, meats and produce. There was an entrance on the corner
and one on the back side along Center street. At times there
were apartments rented on the second floor. Today, a business is
operating in the building as shown in the photo taken in 2008.
To the right of the Brown grocery is also two current business
places. These formerly were Stephens Cafe and the 5 & 10
Cent Store owned by Ruttkars. |
