This building has since been demolished and all that remains standing is the old Winslow gym attached to the rear. The gym was built in the early 50's. Winslow High School was closed at the end of school year 1974 when all of the county schools were consolidated into the present system. The new consolidated school is named PIKE CENTRAL and is located 4 miles north of Winslow. Since the new school was a newly consolidated system, the new school took the nick-name of Chargers.
