| WINSLOW — Wallace R. Eads, 93, of Columbus, Ind., died
Thursday, August 25, 2005, at Four Seasons Health Care Center.
Born July 11, 1912, in Winslow, Ind., he was the son of Jesse W. and
Jennie Wright Eads. He was the stepson of Maude McCafferty Eads. Mr. Eads
married Margaret Connor on June 16, 1934.
Mr. Eads was a 1930 graduate of Winslow High School.He was a
mechanic and car salesman at McCord Ford Auto Sales. He served during WWII
in Germany, France, Belgium and the Philippines, in the Army from 1943 to
1946. He was general manager of Taggart Ford in Winslow. He was a member
of Winslow United Methodist Church, Kiwanis, Masonic Lodge both in Winslow
and the Shrine.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret; a daughter, Lynette (Jim)
Farless of Columbus, Ind.; a son, John (Marsha) Eads of Jackson, Mich.;
five grandchildren, Andrea (Jason) Best and Michael Farless, all of
Columbus, Ind., Nathan (Traci) Eads of Rives Junction, Mich., Adrianne
(Matt) Hunter of Landsing, Mich., and Janelle Eads of Jackson, Mich.; and
two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a stepsister, Beauton Earle.
Funeral Saturday 11 a.m. at the Four Season's Chapel, 1901 Taylor
Road, Columbus, Ind., with Rev Norie Erickson officiating. Calling from 10
a.m. to service. Graveside service 4:30 p.m. Saturday Oak Hill Cemetery in
Winslow. Memorials may be made to Hospice of South Central Indiana.
