OAKLAND CITY, Ind. — Nina L. Edrington 74, of
Oakland City, Ind., entered rest on Sunday, April 6, 2008, at 4:35 p.m. at
Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Evansville.
She was born on October 8, 1933, in Pike County,
Ind., to Thurlow and Helen (Hopkins) Sharp. Nina was a
graduate of Winslow High School, Winslow, Indiana, Class of 1952.
She was a member of
American Legion Post No. 256 Auxillary and had worked at Oakland City
Plastic Plant, Potter & Brumfield in Princeton and Buehler's Buy-Low
in Oakland City.
She was preceded in death by parents; sister, Judy K.
Sharp; and brother, Jack Sharp.
Surviving are her husband of 55 years, Charles
Edrington, whom she married on October 18, 1952, in Shawneetown, Ill.;
daughter and son-in-law, Taunya and Jim Deffendall of Oakland City, Ind.;
grandson, Kenny Harvey of Mount Vernon, Ind.; stepgrandchildren, Aaron and
Alex Deffendall of Haubstadt, Ind.; and brothers, Dickie "John"
Sharp and Jerrall Sharp of Winslow, Ind.
Funeral services were Thursday, April 10, 2008, at
1 p.m., at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel, with burial in Forsythe Cemetery.
Rev. Brad Zoladz and Rev. Mark Sanders will officiate. Visitation was from
4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 8 a.m. until services on Thursday at the
chapel.
