Pearl A. Edrington 75 of Winslow, In. entered rest on Friday
March 17, 2006 at 5:47 P.M. at Gateway Deaconess Hospital in Newburgh, In.
He was born on March 13, 1931 in Winslow, In. to Albert “Chin”
and Zella “Ragle” Edrington. He was preceded in death by parents
and brothers and sisters: Bertha Rhodes, Roy Edrington, Clement
Edrington, Mary White, Mildred Edrington.
Graduated from Winslow High School, and University of Evansville
with B.S.A.,was a 4 year veteran of Korean Conflict serving in the
Air Force, retired in 1995 after several years from Alcoa Warrick
Operation, Member of Amateur Radio Relay League, American Legion
Post # 256, Scottish Rite, Newburgh F. &A.M. Lodge, Past
Commander of Coast Guard Auxiliary in Newburgh, In. He loved
Traveling, Boating, Nascar, Amateur Radioing, Camping. Also was member of Muren Church of God.
Surviving is his wife of 53 years former Shirley Taft Edrington,
Son: Carl Edrington of Phoenix, Arizonia, Son and daughter in-law : Greg & Debbie Edrington of
Chandler, In, Son and fiancé: Larry Edrington and Dee of Chandler, In.,
2 granddaughters: Amanda Edrington of Phoenix and Whitney
Edrington of Chandler, In. 1 great-granddaughter: Alexis Edrington
of Phoenix, Arz. Sisters: Goldie Brothers of Weslaco, Texas and Ruth Hatfield, of
Winslow, In, and his beloved dog Angel..
Graveside services will be 11:30A.M C.S.T. Tuesday March 21, 2006
at Montgomery Cemetery, Oakland City, In. Rev. Frank McCandless officiating.
Visitation will be from 3:00-8:00 P.M. C.S.T., on Monday March 20,
2006 at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel in Oakland City, Military
Graveside services will be conducted by American Legion Post # 256.
