Oakland City, IN -- Wilbur John Fiscus Jr., 55,
lost his courageous battle against cancer on Monday, September 24, 2007,
at his home in Riverside, Ala. He never lost his fighting spirit,
sense of humor and love of life. He was a graduate of Winslow High
School and of Oakland City College. He was an avid golfer, Harley
Davidson enthusiast, member of the Church of Christ and a friend to all
who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Alethea;
brother, Larry Wayne; nephew, Stace Conley, and special friend, Charles
Prather.
Wilbur is survived by his loving wife of 15 years,
Kim Fiscus, faithful companions, Trapper and Jake, feathered friends,
Cochise, Buzz and Sassy; father, Wilbur J. Fiscus Sr of Winslow; sister,
Laura Carlton of Boonville, nieces and nephews, Kristie Willis, Cade
Likes, Shane, Katie and Patrick Conley, Robbie Lawson, Charissa Lehman,
Brandon Bulit, Ashley Bulit; three great-nieces, two great nephews, many
uncles, aunts and cousins; and many wonderful friends including a
special friend, Frank Prusha.
Memorial services were held at 11 a.m. Friday,
September 28, 2007, at the Brenton Hill Chapel Church of Christ in
Petersburg, with the Brother George Fiscus officiating. Friends
visited from 5 until 8 p.m. Thursday at the Corn-Colvin Funeral Home
in Oakland City.
