A page from the past...       Winslow's Old Ford Garage


Pictured above is an early photo of the Winslow Ford garage.   Note the street running in front which appears to be dirt or rock (no concrete), a single old-fashion gas pump and if you look closely you will see what appears to be several sets of head-lites probably on old Model T or Model A Ford automobiles.   This would date this photo back to about the late 20's or early 30's.   Most will remember these names and people who ran the Ford agency in Winslow for many years.  Clellie McCord, McCord Auto Sales, Hollie J. Sims, L.D. Taggert.   The building still stands on the right side of Main Street in Winslow, however it is no longer used as a Ford auto agency.    Many Winslow people were employed at this business and most if not all have shopped there in the past.
