Virginia (Beadles) Kinman Kearby, 84, died January 4, 2008, at
Amber Manor Nursing Home, Petersburg, IN.
She was born November 9, 1923, in the
White Oak community of Pike County, Ind., to Elmer and Della
Long Beadles, both of whom preceded her in death. She
was a proud 1942 graduate of Winslow High School, a member of
the Alford Extension Homemakers and a lifetime resident of
Pike County. She was a member of the Winslow
Christian Church.
In addition to her parents, Alice was
preceded in death by brothers, Milton and Otho Beadles,
sisters, Opal Anderson and Josephine Tisdale, one
great-grandson and one stepgreat-grandson.
Survivors include daughters, Judy Gumbel
and husband, George, of Boonville, Ind.; Bonnie Weathers and
husband, David, of Washington, Ind., and Carla Willis and her
husband, Greg, of Petersburg; stepdaughters, Marla Ziegler of
Loogootee, Ind., and Marcia Rooksberry and husband, David, of
Brazil, Ind; brother Bernard Beadles of Petersburg; sisters,
Mary Bellamy and Fern Mullins, both of Winslow, Ind., and
Dorothy Curry of Glendale, Ariz.; seven grandchildren,
Geoffrey Wood and wife, Susan, David Wood and wife, Suzanne,
Brook Strahle and husband, Jim, Brian Weathers and wfie,
Denene, and Nathan, Tom and Kinsey Willis; six
step-grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; 15
stepgreat-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were at 10:30 AM EST,
January 7, 2008, at Harris Funeral Home, with Dr. Robert Asa
officiating, burial in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.
Visitation was 8 a.m. to service time January7, 2008. |
