Dick Kinder who almost 50 years ago finished his career of playing his
favorite sport has been nominated for induction into the Indiana Basketball
Hall of Fame, by Jack Butcher, a former opponent, then a teammate and
legendary coach of Loogootee High School (also a Hall of Fame member), and Ken
Lindsay, the man behind guide to coaching basketball.com and well known in
high school basketball circles in SW Indiana. Among those adding
their recommendations for Kinder are State Senator Lindel Hume and Hugh
Schaefer, a basketball historian from Vincennes. His application
is now under consideration for induction in the Class of 2008 with ceremonies
