Harold R. McCord, 87, of Evansville passed away Tuesday, November 20,
2007, at Angel River Health & Rehabilitation Center. He
was born December 18, 1919, in Pike County, Ind.
Harold was a graduate of Winslow High School, Class of
1941. Harold retired from Whirlpool after 25 years. He
was an avid gardener. Harold was a member of United Methodist Church in
Winslow, Ind., but attended North Haven General Baptist Church regularly
over 50 years. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII.
Harold loved to attend his daughter's high school and college
basketball games.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Elizabeth
(Barrett) McCord; brothers, Elijah and Ellsworth McCord; and his favorite
dog, Cricket.
Harold is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary Alice (Wilson) Boyd
McCord; daughter, Amy P. McCord; sister, Eva McCord; sister, Clova Dobbyn;
brothers, William E., Virgil, and Gola McCord; and nieces and nephews.
Services were at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 24, 2007, at North Haven
General Baptist Church, 1800 North Haven Drive, Evansville, officiated by
Rev. David Kelle. Graveside service was at 1:30
p.m. EST Saturday at Oak Hill Cemetery in Winslow, Ind.
Friends visited Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Alexander East Chapel, 2115
Lincoln Ave.

North Haven General Baptist Church.
