Charlene F. Anderson, age 73, of
French Lick, Indiana, passed away August 10, 2010 at 12:40 PM at Memorial Hospital and
Health Care Center, Jasper, Indiana.
Char was born on March 14, 1937 in Pike County,
Indiana to the late Lowell and Fern (McRoberts) Nelson. She married
Robert E. "Tuffy" Anderson on September 14, 1957 and he
survives.
She was a graduate of Winslow High School, Class of
1955, and also graduated from Oakland City College and Chicago Teachers
School. She was a teacher in Frankfort, Illinois for 27 years before
returning to Indiana. She had previously owned Faye's Fashinon and
Town and Country Clothing Store in French Lick, Indiana. She had
been a member of the Rebekah's Lodge and the Winslow Christian Church.
She is survived by her husband, Robert "Tuffy"
Anderson of French Lick and one sone, Stephen Nelson Anderson of Phoenix,
Arizona. She is also survived by an aunt, Lee Mosley of Decatur,
Illinois and an uncle, Kenneth Nelson of Chandler, Indiana, cousins, and
many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by T.L.
Pinnick Mortuary, 785 South Bears Bend Road, French, Lick, where her
family will receive friends, Friday, August 13, 2010 from 5 p.m. until 8
p.m. and again on Saturday, August 14, 2010 from 9 a.m. until 10
a.m. The funeral service will be held at the mortuary at 10 a.m.
with Rev. Darrell Wineinger officiating. Interment will be held at
Sunset Cemetery, Winslow, Indiana.
