Ramona Marlene Besing, 71, of Oakland City, IN, entered rest on
Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at 4:20 p.m. at St Mary's Medical Center in
Evansville, IN.
She was born July 29, 1937 to Harry Padgett and Wanda Barrett
Ramache of Winslow, IN. She was preceded in death by her
parents. She was commonly referred to as "Toots" by close
friends and relatives.
She attended Winslow Elementary School and returned to Wood Memorial
igh School in 1973 at the age of 36 to obtain her high school
diploma. She attended Tri-State Beauty College where she became a
licensed beautician and operated a shop side her mother and in her own
home for several years. She drove a school bus for East Gibson
School Corporation and retired from Hansen Manufacturing in Princeton, IN
in 2001. After retirement she enjoyed spending time with
grandchildren and their sporting activities. She was a member of St.
John's Church in Buckskin, IN.
Surviving husband of 50 years is Jerry Besing; sons: Michael E.
(Rebecca) Lenart of Powell, Wyoming; Jeffrey S. Besing of Mt. Carmel, IL;
Victor G. and Kelly J. Besing, both of Oakland City, IN.
Grandchildren: Kristina R. Naney, Christopher J. Besing, Trenton J.
Besing, Koleton J. Besing, Dylan R. Besing, Gavin S. Besing.
Special friends: Dawn Jorgenson and Kristina Carpenter. Uncle
Sheldon Ray Barrett and companion Janice Blair; Aunt Jean (Ken) Austin and
many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m.
Saturday, July 11, 2009 at Lamb Basham Memorial Chapel with burial in
Martins Cemetery in Littles, IN. Rev Frank Sapp officiating.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until services on Saturday.
