Russell B. Chesser, 79, of Plainfield,
passed away on August 09, 2010 in Hendricks Regional Health. He was
born on November 21, 1930 in Winslow, Indiana to Roscoe and Helen Jennings
Chesser.
He was a graduate of Winslow High School, Class of
1949.
Russell married Sylvia "Sue" Helsley
on September 4, 1954 in Belleville, Illinois, she survives. he was
an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He started his career in
architecture working for several companies and retired as project manager
from Baize Corporation. He was a handyman for the Plainfield Public
Library, retiring last year.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Winslow,
Indiana, Scottish Rite and the Murat Shrine in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Survivors include his wife, Sue; children, Theresa
Carr and husband, Danny; Keith Chesser and wife, Beth; two grandchildren
and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday,
August 13, 2010 in Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield, Indiana, with
calling hours from 11 a.m. until service time.
Burial with military rites will be in Maple Hill
Cemetery, Plainfield, Indiana.
