Darrell G. Corn, 81, of Oakland City, Indiana, entered rest on
Monday, December 21, 2009 at 4:20 p.m. at Amber Manor Care Center in
Petersburg, Indiana.
He was born on April 7, 1928 in Francisco, Indiana to Sampson and
Mary (Nolan) Corn. He was a graduate of Winslow High School,
Class of 1946.
He retired after 38 years form Whirlpool Corporation in Evansville,
In., a Member of American Legion Post #256 in Oakland City and a WW
II Air Force Veteran.
He was preceded in death by first wife, Lois Corn in 1989 and son
Dale "Tiny" Corn in 1990 and brother William Wallace
Corn.
Surviving is wife Margaret "Peg"; son, David (Sheila) Corn
of Winslow, In.; sisters, Virginia Young of Winslow and Ruth Miller of
Wabash, Ind.
Services were Thursday, December 24, 2009 at 10:00 a.m.
Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel with burial in Williams Cemetery. Rev.
Darin D. Nossett officiated. Visitation was from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Wednesday, December 23, 2009 and from 8:00 a.m. until services on Thursday
at the chapel.
