Virginia Lucille Crecelius, 92, of Newburgh, passed away Thursday, November 20, 2008 at Newburgh Healthcare.   She was a purchasing agent for Gibson General Hospital and Wirth Hospital.  She was a member of the Aldersgate Methodist Church in Evansville and a member of the Oakland City Eastern Star.

Virginia was born on June 6, 1916 in Winslow to Elmer and Clara (Bonenberger) Minnis, both preceded her in death.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Hulett Crecelius, and a brother Doral Minnis.

She is survived by her 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Burt and Fern Crecelius of Woodlands, Texas, and Allan and Shirley Crecelius of Newburgh, 3 grandsons, Jeff, Eric (Nancy), and Heath (Patty) Crecelius; 1 great-grand-daughter, Mina Crecelius.

Funeral services were held on Monday, November 24, 2008 at 10 a.m. CST at the Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City, Indiana, the Rev. Mitch Gieselman officiating.  Burial was at the Montgomery Cemetery in Oakland City.  Friends visited from 4 until 8 p.m. on Sunday, November 23, 2008 at the Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City.
