Gloris G. (Dent) Davine, 87, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Sunday,
January 8, 2012 at VNA Charlier Hospice Center.
Gloris was born in Pike County, Indiana on April 23, 1924 to Curtis and
Gertrude Dent.
Gloris was a graduate of Winslow High School, class
of 1941.. She worked in the medical
field for Dr. Robert Harris for many years and retired from Welborn
Clinic. Gloris volunteered at St. Mary's Medical Center and was a member
of St. Benedict Cathedral. She loved I.U. basketball and was an avid Rex
Mundi supporter.
Gloris is survived by her daughters, Sharon Davine of Evansville, IN,
Maureen Martin of Bloomington, IN, Karen (Tait) Tackett (Michael) of
Henderson, KY; grandchildren, Lauren Singleton (Layne), Stacy Martin-Tenney
(Tony), Cory Martin (Taryn), Lindsey MaGary; great-granddaughter, Aysia
Powers, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 7:00 PM Thursday, January 12, 2012 at
Browning Funeral Home 738 Diamond Avenue Evansville, Indiana 47711 with
Sister Jenny Miller officiating.
Friends may visit from 2:00 PM until service time on Thursday.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to VNA Charlier
Hospice Center, 610 East Walnut St. Evansville, IN 47713 or to the
family for funeral expenses.
