Helen (Clark) Duncan, 87, of
Charlotte, TN, died Monday, May 4, 2009, in Charlotte. She suffered
a stroke last year. She was
born in Monroe Township, Indiana, July 16, 1921, to John A. and Auda E
(Hedges) Clark. Helen was a graduate of Winslow High School Class of
1939. She also graduated from Welborn School of Nursing in
Evansville, IN. She married
Coyle Duncan and he preceded her in death. She had served in the
Nurses' Corps during World War II. Surviving
are a daughter, Deann Allen of Charlotte, TN; two grandsons, Tye Lee and
Trey Lee Allen; and two sisters, Wilma Brewster of Petersburg and Rachael
Heuring of Winslow, IN. Two
sisters, Wanda Gladish and Lavaun Corn, and three brothers, Stanton D.
clark, Daniel G. Clark, and Richard A. Clark, preceded her in death. A
memorial service will be conducted in early summer. |
