Lester Merle Green, 75, of Brownsburg, Ind., died on
March 25, 2009. Merle was a member of the Winslow High School Class
of 1952, receiving his GED from Winslow High School and received two
associate degrees from Ivy Tech. He retired from U.S. Air Force in
1973 after 20 years of service, and then worked at Allison's Transmission
for 19 years, retiring in 1992. He was a member of
Grace Ministries. Survivors include wife, Bonnie Greene;
children, Valerie (Troy) Carberry and Ronald (Amber) Greene; brothers,
Norbert (Jean) Greene and Wilbur (Ruth) Greene; grandchildren, Jason Berg
and Rachel (Steven) Strode. Funeral services were at 10:00
a.m., Saturday, March 28, 2009 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with
visitation there from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, March 27,
2009. Burial was at Shiloh Cemetery. The family
expresses special thanks to Hendricks Regional Health Hospital and Dr.
