Erma Hale, 93, of Evansville, passed away at 7:25 a.m. Friday,
October 29, 2010 at Deaconnes Hospital, Evansville, IN.
Erma was born November 9, 1916, in Bicknell, IN, the daughter of
Frank and Beulah (Brosman) Britton. She was a graduate of Winslow
High School, Class of 1935. She was a member of First Christian
Church, in Newburgh, IN and of Eastern Star #391, Winslow, Indiana
Chapter.
She was a devoted wife and loving mother, grandmother,
great-grandmother and homemaker. Erma will be deeply missed by her
family and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of
61 years, DeForest Hale Jr., in 2001. She is survived by daughters,
Ellen (Harry) Girvin, of Newburgh, IN and Jeannene (Max) Inglert, of
Greenwood, IN; granddaughter, Ann (Paul) Kuhl of Louisville, KY, and their
children, Ellen and Jonathan; grandson, Jason Inglert of Greenwood;
grandson, Sean (Tina) McKinney of Cincinnati, OH and their chldren, Bayden
and Levi; stepgranddaughters, Bodie (Roger) Hyatt, of Newburg, and Patti
(Jerry) Healy, of Evansville; and sister, Bernice Wood of Sullivan.
Funeral services are 10 a.m., Monday, November 1, 2010, at Boone
Funeral Home East Chapel, 5330 Washington Ave., Evansville, IN, with
Pastor Brad Ferris officiating. Graveside services will follow at
2:00 p.m. CDT in Oak Hill Cemetery in Winslow, IN.
Friends may call from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. Sunday, October 31, 2010,
at Boone Funeral Home, East Chapel and again from 9 a.m. until time of
service at 10 a.m. Monday, November 1, 2010.
