| Opal Stephens Hayes, 94, Indianapolis,
died October 28, 2009. Opal was born in Winslow,
Indiana.
She was a member of the Winslow High School Class of
1933. She lived a full life in California, Virginia and
Indiana.
She was a avid sports fan and loved watching the
Pacers, Colts, and Cardinals. For the past 26 years she lived in
Indianapolis with her great-nephew, John Klipsch; his wife, Connie and
their two sons, Kasey and Lucas. She was a loving and caring aunt of
James Klipsch (Mary Kay) of Evansville, and all their children and Barbara
Klipsch Hollon (George) of Sulphur Springs, Texas and all their
children. She was Nana to everyone.
She was preceded in death by her father, James
Stephens, her mother, Stella Stephens; her husband Larry Hayes; her
sister, Eva Hardin Klipsch and her brothers, Durward Hardin and John
Stephens.
A memorial service was held at 10:30 a.m. EDT on
Saturday, October 31, 2009 at the Curtis Funeral Home, 300 N. Walnut
Street, Winslow, Indiana with visitation there from 9:30 a.m.
