David
Powell Heuring, 79, of Chandler, died Friday, December 17, 2010 at
Deaconess Gateway Hospital.
He was retired from the Evansville Printing Corporation after 40
years in the composing department.
David was born in Winslow, Ind., son of A.J. and Beulah G. Heuring.
He served in U.S. Army in Germany during the reconstruction after WWII.
David was preceded in death by a brother, Richard, and a son,
Douglas.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Gwendolyn (Tracer) Heuring;
children Linda (David Whatley) of Chicago, Arthur (Mariann) of Boonville;
and William B. (Roxanne) of Chandler; grandchildren Daniel Whatley; Jared,
Derek and Brooke Heuring; and Michele and Brandon McDowell; and sister
Patty Ann Jones of Winslow.
An avid motorcyclist, David was a charter lifetime member of the
American Motorcycle Association, and he traveled extensively on his bike.
He enjoyed boating, bird hunting, and reading.
Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday at Koehler
Funeral Home Perigo Chapel, 7022 Heim Road, Chandler, Ind.
Memorial contributions in memory of David may be made to the
Salvation Army.
There will be no services at the funeral home.
