Ronald
Lester Jones, 73, of Jupiter, FL., died at Jupiter Medical Center,
December 22, 2010.
He
was born in WInslow, In, on January 31, 1937. He lived in Ayshire,
IN until he was 18 years old and then he enlisted in the
military. He was a member of the 1955 class at Winslow High
School. Ronald was a veteran of the United States Air Force, lived
in Eugene, OR most of his life where he was a barber and continued
barbering after moving to Florida.
Surviving
are a son, Ron (Diana) Jones of Benbrook, TX; a daughter, April (Rick)
Jones of Veneta, OR; six stepchildren; his mother, Genevieve Jones of
Jupiter, FL; four brothers, Dick (Sandra) Jones of Ocela, FL, Kenneth Jr
(Beth) Jones, of Jackson, GA, James Odell (Ellen) Jones of Jupiter, FL,
and Steve (Helen) Jones of Pulaski, TN; two granddaughters; three step-granddaughters; three great-grandchildren and several step-grandchildren.
His
father, Kenneth Jones preceeded him in death in 2004; also preceeding
him in death were two stepdaughters; one grandson, and grandparents, Rev
and Mrs. (Ola Gross) Jones, James Elisha and Anna Jane (Corn) Thurman.
Graveside
services with a military 21 gun salute were conducted Monday, Jan 3, 2011
at Riverside Memorial Cemetery in Jupiter, FL with Rev George Ralph
officiating. Taylor-Modeen Funeral Home was in charge of
arrangements.
