| Stanley Weston McCandless, 73, of Evansville, IN passed
away Sunday, September 11, 2011 at St. Mary's Medical Center.
Stanley was born September 16, 1937, at his grandmother's house in
Little, IN. He was a graduate of Winslow High School, Class of
1956. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, having served
for four years. He was an avid fan of the Ellis Park Horse Races and
the St. Louis Cardinals.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Amber and Lucille
McCandless; and a sister, Marilyn Keister.
Surviving Stanley are his two brothers, Don Ray (Faye) McCandless of
Mount Vernon, IN, and Terry (Linda) McCandless of Baytown, Texas; one
daughter, Lisa Goves of Pittsburgh, IL; three sons, Joe (Kang) McCandless
of Crete, IL, Kevin McCandless of Bath, Maine, and Roger (Shera)
McCandless of Wingo, KY; and eight grandchildrne.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, September 16,
2011, at Pierre Funeral Home, West Franklin, Evansville, IN. Friends
may visit with the family from 1 p.m. until service time.
