Pike County 1950 & Attendants

The occasion was the Pike County Fair - Beauty Pageant. The WHS
girls won a clean sweep - Miss Pike County (Sally Sue Brown) plus the two
runnerup attendants (Helen Craig and Lenore Vineyard). This photo was
taken July 28, 1950 at Hornady Park in Petersburg. Ruth Miley was
the Director of the Pike County Fair - Beauty Pageant for several years - in the
late 1940's and 1950's. Her son, Art Miley submitted the photo for
our website.
The 1st Miss Pike County pageant was held in 1949
