Clerks New Uniforms 1962

Pictured above is a photo of Gladys Robling and
Clayton E. Curtis, clerks in the Winslow Indiana Post Office wearing their
new postal uniforms. These uniforms became the standard apparell for
all postal clerks who perform a minimum of four hours window duty
daily. The uniform order was effective in late December 1962.
The jackets are peking blue and the postal emblem is of a pony express
rider in white with a maroon background. The ties are also
maroon. Evart Julian was Postmaster at the Winslow Office
during this time period.
