Winslow High School's 1st Graduating Class is shown
above and known as the WHS Class of 1911. This year the Winslow High
School Alumni Association will be celebrating the 100th anniversary of the
school at the Oct 8, 2011 Banquet which will be held in Evansville at the
Holiday Inn Airport (formerly Marriott). The class members were: Elsie
Buyher Haggerty, Nettie Wiggs Russ, Myrtle Corn Hobson, Charles Anderson,
Roscoe Ashby, Paul Thiry, John Woolsey. We are not sure of the correct
listing of the names, but think the lady in the middle is Nettie Wiggs
Russ. Anyone who can properly identity the students of the 1st WHS
